Pericom and Avnet Electronics Marketing Ink Global Distribution Pact
PHOENIX -- Pericom Semiconductor named Avnet Electronics Marketing as its first worldwide distribution partner today.
With a distribution agreement for the Americas region signed, Pericom's (NASDAQ: PSEM) full line of serial high-speed switching, timing and signal-integrity solutions is now available to Avnet Electronics Marketing customers throughout the globe. Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) has existing distribution agreements with Pericom in Europe, Asia and Japan, and had an existing relationship with SaRonix, a company that Pericom acquired in October 2003.

Using a global distributor, such as Avnet Electronics Marketing, allows contract manufacturers, OEMs and other customers to streamline purchases across regions.
