AVT) today announced the promotion of MaryAnn Miller, chief human
resources officer, to corporate senior vice president of Avnet, Inc.
Named Avnet vice president in January 2010, Miller became Avnet chief
human resources officer in 2009.

Miller joined Avnet in 2006 with more than 25 years of experience in
human resources and operations management in financial services, medical
products and wireless communications. She is credited with positioning
the human resources function as a strategic business partner and
developing a comprehensive, integrated approach that enables Avnet to
attract, engage, develop and reward the best employees. In addition, she
has led her team to leverage Avnet's scale and scope by driving
consistency in employee programs and people practices globally while
being sensitive to local market practices and cultural differences. She
was recognized with the Avnet Chairman's Award in 2009.
Miller received Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business
Distinguished Achievement Award in 2010. She holds a bachelor's degree
in Political Science from the University of Illinois and a master's in
Business Administration from Arizona State University, W.P. Carey School
of Business.
