Avnet Logistics, the global logistics and warehousing arm of Avnet,
Inc. (NYSE:AVT) has promoted Robert Brenner to senior vice president
of logistics
warehousing and distribution for the Americas, reporting to Jim
Smith, president of Avnet Logistics. A 15-year veteran of the
electronics industry, Brenner is responsible for Avnet's warehousing and
logistics infrastructure, supporting Avnet's multi-billion dollar
business in the Americas.

Brenner joined Avnet in July 2008 as global vice president of quality
and was promoted to vice president of warehousing logistics and
distribution in August 2010. He received his bachelor's degree from
National University and a master's in business administration from
University of Redlands, Calif. Prior to joining Avnet, Brenner held
progressively more responsible engineering and management positions at
General Dynamics and McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, in addition to broad
experience in the technology distribution industry.
